Did someone get shot nr the tesco on herries rd.. ?

Maybe their price-war with Morrison's is getting out of hand ?

I wouldn't be entirely surprised. I used to live on the Philadelphia estate (where the Kelvin used to be) and there were various muggings, shootings, stabbings, beating-round-the-head-with-a-battings and so forth. When we moved out we didn't have any windows upstairs at the back.

It's a lovely area.

There is nothing on any of the news sites about this. Where did you get the information from??

It's a lovely area. That area is no where near Herries Rd so it would be a suprise for a shooting in this area.
My wifes just popped to that Tesco so i will ask her if anything has happened when she gets back.

hehe, d'oh. My bad, I'm not sure why but I read Penistone Road when I read the original post. My apologies! The old brain must be tireder than I though. Still, that's closer to my NEW house, so I hope it hasn't followed me...

nah sumone shot at the chippy window(true) but i would have done same cos their chips are awful!!!!!

its a ok pub i guess dont really go in there much i try to avoid the pool room cos thats where the wierdoes go in so if i do go in i go in the main room

just seen this post.. and got to agree with both of u on this one about this chippy,no wonder it open all day to make it money with the size on all the food they serve it horrid..

but back on the subject i saw the window been put threw on tescos but ive not hear it to do with a shooting,nor has no one els i asked,was this true then about the shootin as not hear a bout it.

ok here,s what really happened according to a source who was present at the time a car stopped outside the chippy and as it did so another vehicle pulled up fired at the first vehicle and then left the scene other details have benn passed to relevant authorities but wont be disclosed on here as not to jepordise any police action

the tesco window was broken by stone throwing youths a few weeks ago...not connected to the shooting outside the chippy.

A blank was fired from a shotgun - ie nobody was hurt and no damage was done.

Probably a gang-land-chippy-war, ballistics reported that the chips were used as ammunition and that is why so many windows were smashed.
