If you have not been you really should go, it is the most amazing place. The donkeys are so incredibly friendly and you can go into the field with them. Richard and I adopted one each this afternoon.

Has anyone else been?
What did you think?

Are there any other wonderful animal sanctuaries to visit and support that anyone knows of?

It's out near Buxton. See:

Have never been, but have heard good things.

If you're out that way, the Chestnut Centre (Otter and Owl Sanctuary) is worth a visit. See http://www.ottersandowls.co.uk/chestnutcentre.htm

My nephews have been, as part of school trips from the special school they go to. They love going there.

The youngest nephew was photograped, riding one of the sanctuary's donkeys and his picture published in the daily mirror, with June Brown who plays Dot "Cotton " (As was).
