All other websites are fine ? SimpyTimpy 06-04-2008, 14:57 Head to the Start Menu, then click run. Type "sfc /scannow" without the quotation marks. This will check your system files to make sure corrupt files aren't causing the problem. Once you've done that, try and download an alternative browser such as Mozilla's Firefox from http://www.getfirefox.com and see if the same problem persists. teacup 10-04-2008, 08:12 yes bebo and google and also facebook its realy geting on my nerves teacup 10-04-2008, 08:13 amybody help pl;eae ASPGuru 10-04-2008, 08:32 Have you tried SimpyTimpy's suggestion? alchresearch 10-04-2008, 10:33 Are you trying to get to it at home or at work? SimpyTimpy 10-04-2008, 10:47 amybody help pl;eae Seriously, try the advice I posted, if that doesn't work then get back to us on it. alchresearch 10-04-2008, 13:16 Is it anything related to this thread you posted: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=311009 If you are at work, it sounds like the site has been blocked. The IT guys may be logging your internet use (or misuse). teacup 11-04-2008, 07:50 no its at home i can sing into bebo but then it comes on bebo is not responding my mates can get on bebo and google doesnt work does anybody know why??? i cN Acess it at work but not at home teacup 11-04-2008, 07:55 please HELP me teacup 11-04-2008, 08:13 that website still does not ework tryd it last night teacup 11-04-2008, 08:14 av send the ERROR report to windows but still doesnt work teacup 11-04-2008, 09:34 anybody having same problems ???? orbrey 11-04-2008, 10:29 From the somewhat sketchy details of the errors you've described it sounds like your browser is crashing when you go to these pages (is that the case? Please post the content of the error messages and also specific details of what happens, i.e. I click the link, half the page loads then the browser crashes with an error message of 'error message contents here' and we'll be able to have a better go at answering) If that is what's happening I'd say a reinstall of whichever browser it is should sort it, unless it's Internet Explorer in which case I'd suggest installing another browser - firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) or opera (http://www.opera.com) are a couple of possibilities - to test and see if you get the same issues. teacup 11-04-2008, 10:39 i not veryu good with pc would a shop be alble to do it and how do you reinstall it teacup 11-04-2008, 10:42 it was working perfect last weekl but know its not its realy bugging me teacup 11-04-2008, 10:44 still no joy orbrey 11-04-2008, 10:49 Hi, As I said in my last post: Please post the content of the error messages and also specific details of what happens, i.e. I click the link, half the page loads then the browser crashes with an error message of 'error message contents here' and we'll be able to have a better go at answering esme 11-04-2008, 11:02 just a wild guess but does Bebo use java scripts downloaded to the PC ? I know google does anyway it's possible these got corrupted and because they are in the cache your browser isn't downloading new and correct copies, so when you access the page the browser tries to run the code in these scripts and fails so try clearing your browsers cache and see if that helps teacup 11-04-2008, 13:22 it wont run can you download a java sallonoroff 11-04-2008, 15:14 Have you tried clearing your temp internet files (etc)? Have you tried an alternative browser? (www.firefox.com, www.opera.com) (both as per orbrey's suggestion above) You really shouldn't need to take it to a "shop" for this problem... . teacup 13-04-2008, 16:16 all sorted |
