:( can any1 recommend anything paracemamol is only effective for 2 hours and then its back. iv already had 6 today im due my last 2 very soon.
Iv tried corsodyl mouthwash and bonjela lol
I cant visit a dentist because i dont have one and ive tried ringing nhs diret but they wont see me because its not an emergency
I would have suggested aspirin but I don't know if it is safe.
However, there's a cough/cold sweet available at most chemists which has antiseptic and anaesthetic in it.... will have to Google it cos the name escapes me.
Strepsils do one and apparently Beechams Max Strength have the exact same effect and both will have info on the packet about use in pregnancy.
Because you'd suck the lozenge close to the painful tooth the anaesthetic would hit the nerves in that area and hopefully calm in down.
There's another one, my personal saviour but I recognise the packet and forget the name, will try to recall and come back.
I know it ends in 'zine'.
Ultra chloraseptic - all the same benefits in a spray :)

thank i might head off to tesco now. i defo wont be able to have the beechams max strength tonight due to already reachin the maximum number of paracetamols allowed in a day.
think i might go and get some strepsils
Tesco might have their own brand too - all the advice I'm reading on onctraindications suggests no more than 12 in a day, well with paracetamol that might just keep you ticking over.
I'd also try more than one brand, some are better than other, just wish I could remember the name of the one I prefer.... one of the big name boxed brands, green glassy lozenges and nice soothing relief :)
GOT IT - MEROCAINE! They look like this http://health.cd-writer.com/c13/p3026/merocaine_lozenges.html
