Is it possible for me to ring up the SY travel people for one of these special passes that allows me to travel on the Sheffield busses and trams, and have them actually send it to my home address in Kent so I can actually use it the minuite I get into Sheffield - to save me visiting local grocery stores to buy the passes (or wherever it actually is that you get your passes from)?

Cheers,
Alex

I believe you can buy them online, and get a discount too!

OR you can write to them

Evidently, they only do monthly tickets - can't I get a ticket that allows me to use the tram/busses for just a few days...

That URL is for passes for First buses only. For travelmasters (all bus companies, tram and train), you'll have to ring Traveline 01709 515151. You can get day or week travelmasters as well as monthly ones.

Smashing stuff - can I also use the pass on a train into Derbyshire (Peak District), or does that warrant another pass-buying exercise? :)

Alex

I think they have some kind of "Peak Explorer" ticket, you'd best ask the travel line to be sure.

STPTE do a zone pass which is monthly, weekly or daily. It's only for south yorkshire so if you want to go into derbyshire you'll have to pay from wherever the boundry is (foxhouse/grindleford). I don't think you can get trans-county passes.
