Hi,
I have a 'gentleman' that says he was in the navy for 15 years as a navigations officer of an african nation - does anyone out there know of a question that such a person would be able to answer to verify this statement
required urgently
thanks
(in hope ! ! ! )

Ask him what sort of PFQs they used, and what level of Hcomms they ran.

Also, ask him what the P.V procedure was during his service, and whether it changed whilst he served.

Of course, all this is made up. I know nothing about Naval Navigations Officers. I just enjoy talking crap.

But if he's genuine he'll obviously realise your talking gubbins :)

I've put the feelers out to a couple of ex-navy bods and we'll see if they can come up with anything.

Ask him .....Up to the mid 80's, what was used as a navigational aid to supplement sextant and stars in West Africa....Answer- Decca Log. Satellites were only available before mid 80's in busy areas like English Channel and ports
