In 1975 there was a restaurant next to the classic cinema in Fitzallen Square, you had to go downstairs to get in. Does anyone remember what it was called? And who was running it? Thanks for your help

It was called the Indus, but sorry I don't know who ran it.

It was run by a Greek Cypriot called Gabrelidis. i used to go to school with his son.

Think I was a little too quick answering this. Gabrelidis used to own the restaurant in the 60's. He could well have sold it by 1975. In fact it seems highly unlikely that a Cypriot would run an Indian restaurant !
