Only a tiny bit on a soft cloth but it cleans and protects. Good Luck! beansforyou 17-03-2005, 20:07 I used to work in a kitchen full of stainless, we used to have to use Ajax, wipe it on with one cloth, off straight away with another, with the grain, then buff like mad, it was so tiring :( allotmentman 17-03-2005, 22:45 Best think is Elbowgrease.Any goood Hardware shop should stock it. fnkysknky 18-03-2005, 07:31 Buy an E-Cloth - I give them away with every kitchen I sell with stainless appliances as they are so good. You can get a double pack that has 2 different cloths in that between them are suitable for cleaning just about anything - it's just water as well, no chemicals surprisingly. Steve & Darrren at Studio Kitchen Design at Attercliffe sell them for £8ish. GazB 18-03-2005, 08:41 Yeah Johnsons baby oil is pretty good, doesn't smear! Then again, is it flammable? If it is.. cleaning a hob with it would probably go down about as well as a turd in a trifle :| GazB Liose 18-03-2005, 16:25 Originally posted by GazB Yeah Johnsons baby oil is pretty good, doesn't smear! It's great for our five ring burner - my other half things he's in a chinese kitchen!!! Strix 18-03-2005, 20:49 There's a product called barkeeper's friend that john lewis sell (I've seen it in somewhere like sainsbury's too). It's like a cross between jif cream and Ajax powder. thai 21-03-2005, 20:20 Believe it or not W.D.40 It works a treat Hels 22-03-2005, 02:03 Dab a little olive oil (or baby oil) on some kitchen roll and wipe the stainless steel, it gives it a lovely sheen. MaryMayhem 22-03-2005, 02:06 Boy, what a lot of different responses! I use vinegar. Strips off grease and fingerprints. Which, I suppose are technically grease, too. But, I use vinegar to clean the linoleum floor, too. And windows. |
