I have just purchased a Motorola E550 mobile phone. I would like my number NOT to be sent to any call I make. I have tried the menu to do this and have done things correctly, but it resulted in me phoning my phone company who inform me they can do this for me BUT I will also not be able to view who is calling me! It's a bit annoying, can anyone offer any more info?

page 78 suggests that the setting may be at settings menu>in-call options>my caller ID.
The manual's probably for a generic firmware, so it may be slightly different on your handset if your network customised it.

PS Please don't even ask why I'm sat here with nothing better to do than read manuals for phones I don't own.

And to clarify, that setting should (I believe) be the one that stops your phone sending out it's number, but still allow you to see who's calling it. Which is what I think you want?
