sorry for poor photo it as taken on a camera phone.
the reason i ask is because the geckos tail seems too thin (you can see on the shadow just how thin) its legs where really thin and it did not walk very fast at all (shaking when lifting each leg) the shop that was selling him had two other geckos in the tank (all shedding with no shedding box  ) the other two was just as painfully thin.
i am really considering buying a gecko as my son as been asking for one for a few months now, and seems really intrested in them (even though hes only three years old)
Wow that looks very thin, really a healthy well fed gecko should have a fat tail. Which shop was it at?

pets are pals in chapeltown, i thought the same thing when i was looking at them, they had one next to it that looked very well fed (nice fat tail), so i really dont know why the others looked like this.

We were looking forward, when we heard the new owners were doing reptiles etc, but have to say didn't buy from them. Not saying they don't look after them or anything as such, but we were concerned at how small a vivarium they had 2 good sized Bearded Dragons in and they seem to know very little about them, but basic care needs. Lizard lounge however seem very in the know and all animals look in good health.

ive been in the lizard lounge as weve been looking at getting a gecko a few months now and wanted to look at everywhere that sells them,
i was considering buying the one in the photo but with it been so thin i dont want to risk it dying with in a week of me having it.

I've got a beautiful pair of leos from the Lizard Lounge, very healthy, gorgeous females, get on brilliantly together. I have nothing bad to say about that shop at all, got a crestie and 2 dragon agamas from there too.

I would suggest asking the shop why they are so thin it could be parasites if they are WC

Its looks very ill to me i would avoid it...it could be carrying a virus or parasites ... Try the snake shop they have some really nice ones there

I'd second that. I have been using TSS for years and they're great!
