I noticed a few things wrong with the property section when i started to find somewhere to live.

First when people post a property they are letting out/selling they do not put a price on for rental or purchase, this is VERY ANNOYING!! A price should be distinguished.

Also there is confusion when people are describing the price and put "plus bills" for example. Does this include bills or is the tenant responsible?

Finally in the for sale section particularly, people are contrained by budgets,, could items not be put into sub forums for price fanges for say £0-£50,000 then £50,001 - £80,000 and so on? Could this also be done with rental values.

I would like to propose that a pro-forma is set up for rental at least, for example is MUST include certain details, like:
Post Code,
Rental Amount,
Bills Included, YES/NO?
Do they accept DSS/Pets etc.

This could easily be tackled by using the title, for example:

3 Bed house to let S6 £450pcm

This way it is known that it is in S6 area and the price is definatley there. If the title doe snot Adhere to rules then the post is removed with no hesitation!

Any ideas or opinions on this?

Hope this makes sense, this could be in a sticky post and then people must copy and paste the pro-forma so that all info is included.

I just think it is really annoying when people purposefully (sp?) miss out information so people will post so the thread is bumped up, and some people don’t have the confidence or cheek to ask questions.

if they can do it for the pets rehomings I don't see why it shouldn't apply to both the for sale ads and the property ads

I've posted on several threads only to make the suggestion that more useful details are added - and thread titles are my biggest bugbear!
