Tell me about it...

I was really dissappointed if i'm honest..thought it was boring, the most entertaining part was watching Tango giving it some in front of the Kop haha.

The ref and linesman were shocking though (wait for all piggies to come on saying..."oh blame the ref again")

True though...

Blame the ref again i dont know, by all acounts you guys were very VERY Lucky to get the last minute goal, 2 places above now, with the other game in hand next week (COME ON YOU RED & WHITE WIZARDS)

P.s your team is going to be knackered with the amount of games you have within a 10 day period

You don't half talk crap don't you.

We've recently lost points against West Brom and Palace to last minute goals (Palace last 20 seconds) so for us to get a goal in injury time is hardly very lucky now is it :loopy:. Just looks like that old saying about things evening themselves out over a season is (hopefully) coming true, so next up a last minute winner :)

The match last night was rubbish, two poor teams scrapping it out. No quality apart from Sahar who made numerous decent runs which Kav failed to see and created a few chances for himself. Just glad we have 3 of the best young defenders (4 once Simek is back) in the country and a decent keeper which will help us stay up.

Oh and no blame attached to Johnson for the goal as he shouldn't have been playing right back in the first place. To be fair to him though he stuck at it and in the second half he played his socks off, you could see how devastated he was after the goal though.

You don't even have 4 of the best defenders in this league, never mind the country.

Come on fella, lets get a bit of realism back.

Thought he was a bit dodgy in the first half but in the second he got stuck in and one goal saving tackle in the box was outstanding.

I knew you'd see sense ;)

But yes, sometimes being forced to play youngsters like as has happened with yourselves can sometimes work out for the best.

I remember when Warnock came in, and loads of youngsters got a chance.

Lee Morris, Curtis Woodhouse, Jags, Montgomery and Tonge etc. All worked out good for us in one way or another.

You could add Stephen Quinn to that list as well I think he's a good young player.

Yeah it's happened with McAllister now he's had a chance. Was impressed with him last night until he had to go off, then the midfield disappeared!

Oh and another thing about last night, the atmosphere was terrible! Tango did his best at the front of the Kop but it was so quiet. Might not have been helped by the fact I decided to have a change and join family members in the South Stand library. I don't think i'll be rushing back there from my normal seat in the North.

I was there and we seemed to work the ball well until it came to Kavanagh, who virtually killed the attack by hesitating.

Why would we break up a partnership that is playing well at the moment, rarely conceding more than one goal a game?

In my honest opinion, IF Laws had Morgan at his disposal, he would be in the side week in week out, regardless how well these 2 young uns are doing.

Maybe at the start of the season I'd concede that his experience (of kicking people's shins/ankles in :P ) would probably be helpful. I see where you're coming from there.

But right now, saying that he'd 'walk' into our side isn't correct.

Hey badger boy if you can read properly I actually said we were crap! Neither team deserved to win last night. I was mearly pointing out that you saying we were lucky is utter garbage when we've had no luck over the past month against West Brom & Palace.

SpeedwayDan

Well he had a great game last night, especially the second half.
Ok he made a mistake which gifted them a goal, but he was playing out of position so you can't complain too much, if at all.

F. Sidebottom
02-04-2008, 17:54
It wasn't a fantastic game last night - I don't think anyone really deserved to win (or lose).

I don't know if anyone else noticed but whenever we got anywhere near their box, they had 8 men in there defending it. Very hard to break down unless you are very skillful - hence why everyone seemed to pass to Kav in those situations and leave him to counger up some magic on his own (which he failed to do).

They had a game plan - defend in numbers and try to counter. Can't blame them - that's what we've done at times this season. Very hard to play against - need a much more skillful side than Wednesday to beat that consistently.

It was always going to be mistakes and set pieces that would make the difference.

Overall though, we climbed two places, we have one defeat in 9 (or is it 10?), we aren't conceeding too many goals, so we can't complain.

Agree, we lost our shape when he went off, Kavan'a needs a young lad at side of him. Him and Bolder were a waste of time! We'll be OK, just make life so hard for ourselves, but it wouldn't be Wednesday otherwise!

I don't think that sort of behaviour would be tollerated in many places, we all know the Wednesday fans are a bit soft in the head though.

I wouldn't go that far to be honest.

We were lucky to grab an equaliser that's for sure.

Both sides rarely looked like scoring. It took a mistake at one end (Johnson) and us throwing 10 men forward at the 92nd minute to grab the equaliser to make it 1-1.

Tango - is that fat brummer free loader still about?!?!?!? I thought he'd stopped watching Wednesday years ago.

Tango's actually from Wolverhampton... They insist there is a difference between them.

I believe there is!
The quality of the arsonist; as anyone who has travelled on the tramway between Birmingham Snow Hill and Wolverhampton St George's can testify. There is an estate on the edge of Wolverhampton, where the number of burnt out houses is considerably above the national avaerage!

He did stop watching Wednesday years ago. .

He still goes to most games but usually stands with his back to the pitch, looking at fellow or opposition fans (either that or on his mobile at televised games, ringing his mates asking how often he's been on the television).

(And yes, some say he might have had the right idea, if the recent game at Coventry was anything to go by.)

You'd have thought that Bournemouth or Blackpool might have got him and his mates to lay a few bricks to start building up their derelict ends, when we were visiting, wouldn't you, by now!
