My Macbook pro has packed in again.

This time it powers up but the screen is so dark, you can barely make out what is on it. I've done nothing to alter the screen, it appeared like this after it had been in sleep mode.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Really don't want to shell out to send it back again (problem with logic board last time but that got replaced).

if you turn it OFF (remove power and battery) and then turn it back on does the light come back on as normal?
