Some threads are valuable information tools and I often find it worthwhile saving them.
Currently, I can only do this by saving one page at a time.
When a thread becomes very large, it can be extremely difficult to save 100's of pages.
I'm sure that I have seen a vBulletin function that allows members to save a full thread from a drop-down option.
Any chance of getting this here?
that could be useful - if this forum is still supposed to be a resource for Sheffield
how would that function deal with pages of off-topic dross? can you tick posts to include/exclude them from your download? what happens when the thread is updated? do you need to do a full download again or will it just update the last few posts?

Go into 'Thread Tools', and email the thread to yourself, then create a desktop shortcut to it. When you click it, the specific thread will open.

yes this could be use full
this forum should have many drop-down options for such as; sales feedback (to see how good/bad the seller/buyer is)
also a drop-down option to upload photo's and such
the drop-down option's would make the forum much better and easier to use

You appear to have missed the point.
That function merely emails a link to the page online.
We are speaking of saving the contents of a thread to hard disk for offline use.

I see what you mean, but you'd need to continually update your saved version as well though? So I'd have thought a link would be OK, unless you need it for a PC when you have no net access (i.e., a laptop). Am I nearer your thinking?
