It looks as though they have a reasonably easy run in. But they will go down simply because they suck.

The owls havnt got a bad run in and there form is as good as anyone around them.Quite amusing how the owls dog fight has given the sufc fans something to detract from how poor there season has been. All that money, great ground, players ete.Promotion virtually nailed on at the begining of the season,oh well at least you will finish above the owls.Clutch them straws please.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Looking at the run in can't see us losing any but on the other hand can't see us winning any,all in all rest of games could go either way but think we will scrape enough points.

02-04-2008, 11:06
It's in our own hands.

We are now out of the drop zone with a game in hand,(albeit a derby,so form goes out of the window).

Southampton have a pretty bad run in compared to ours,so we can only relegate ourselves.

It looks as though Southhampton are for the drop they've got:

West Brom away on the 28th April

United on the 4th May

Behind the scenes they've also got board room problems with the calling of an EGM of shareholders.

This is of course; provided they lose and Wednesday win or draw more than them.

I'm sure I join in with many Owls and say comon you Blades for the 4th May :hihi:

Sunday 04 May 2008 Sheff Wed v Norwich 14:00 0 - 2

Allthough I think this could go either way as it's Huckerby's last game for Norwich, when playing well he is top class and may want to finish with a top class performance. This can make all of the difference between the two teams. Although Norwich have the third worst away goal record.

As long as Southampton don't get an unexpected win tonight, Wednesday will be safe with a draw against Norwich because of the goal difference. That 5-0 win against them certainly helped. That said, I remember another Sheffield team recently saying how they only need a draw at home to Wigan!

A draw for Saints tonight won't make any difference, or at least it won't to Wednesday. It'd get Leicester worried though.

IT will, because if Saints draw, you will need to win the final game instead of a draw making do.

So Southampton got a draw at WBA. That was unexpected. Utd losing at Southampton is unexpected. Norwich winning at Hillsborough is unexpected.
Leicester winning at Stoke is unexpected. Expect the unexpected!
Wednesday are not safe, don't get cocky lads... we HAVE to beat Norwich to expel any fears!
I suspect that what we expect can't necessarily be expected, so it's unexpected that the expected will be unexpected.
Anybody any the wiser?

Easy for the Owls.

It certainly wasn't, the score was a little bit flattering to say the least.

Was it a penalty? Bullen thought that the crowd influenced the ref.

What would have happened if Grant had not got his right hand on the ball to pull off that crucial save in the first half.

It could easily have been 3 to Norwich who had clearly given up trying half way through the second half.
