jonnyrblade 31-03-2008, 20:12 Yes and the blades will send them down by losing to Southampton on 4th May. I can't wait!
SteveBlade 31-03-2008, 22:51 It looks as though they have a reasonably easy run in. But they will go down simply because they suck.
i care... if we go down we go down... take it on the chin and carry on... we will be back as the sayin goes... if we go down its simply cos we aint good enough... end of.
All you wanna do is beat us at the lane cos your own season sucks and its been a massive let down 4u blades... bk to the prem?? yeah right mate??:loopy:
natalie H 01-04-2008, 08:37 shut up piggies :P
talking about beating your rivals all wednesday fans talk about is your great 2-0 win at home i dont think you can say anything about that, wednesday fans dont really care about there own team cos all they seam to do is watch out for united results

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Don't make me laugh cheif.
Have you ever listened to football heaven?
All the pigs/dingles ever talk about is what the owls are going/not going to do.
Us owls couldn't give a tarts furry cup what happens at the sty.
I think Wednesday will need 7 points from their remaining games.
It'll be close.
natalie H 01-04-2008, 10:30 Lets hope we win tonight then...the game has been postponed twice :o
a wednesday fan if u can call them that summed it up for me other day, wen i said i thought wed finish above you (befor we got out bit of a run together) and all he said was well wouldnt matter anyway we won 2-0. before that all i used to hear about was when you beat us in cup in early 90s i suppose this is all we wil hear for cumin years
Nick_Blade 01-04-2008, 17:33 all I can say is come back when you have done the double wendy fans :D
The owls havnt got a bad run in and there form is as good as anyone around them.Quite amusing how the owls dog fight has given the sufc fans something to detract from how poor there season has been. All that money, great ground, players ete.Promotion virtually nailed on at the begining of the season,oh well at least you will finish above the owls.Clutch them straws please.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Grandad.Malky 01-04-2008, 18:49 All you wanna do is beat us at the lane cos your own season sucks and its been a massive let down 4u blades... bk to the prem?? yeah right mate??:loopy:
It could be worse we could have bought “return to the premiership season tickets”, remember them, did you get your money back under the trades description act. :hihi:
Ridgewalk 02-04-2008, 06:33 Worth a booze up if they go down. Love to hear the Beasts squeal. If its Barnsley I'll also be happy. Come on Blades
blueandwhite 02-04-2008, 08:04 They will be safe, think we will end up on around 54 points.More than safe.
i can't see where you think its a good run in theres still a lot to play for for most clubs in your remaining games apart from scunny who are doomed but pressure is off them
uncleheed 02-04-2008, 09:49 all I can say is come back when you have done the double wendy fans :D
Something you lot can't do this season.

Punctuation? Grammar?
Mind you,we shouldn't expect anything else.
Looking at the run in can't see us losing any but on the other hand can't see us winning any,all in all rest of games could go either way but think we will scrape enough points.
uncleheed 02-04-2008, 11:06 It's in our own hands.
We are now out of the drop zone with a game in hand,(albeit a derby,so form goes out of the window).
Southampton have a pretty bad run in compared to ours,so we can only relegate ourselves.

Yes and the blades will send them down by losing to Southampton on 4th May. I can't wait!
Yeah knowing you lot you will probably just let Southampton win to see us go down.
Sounds precisely like something that you'd do.
discodown 02-04-2008, 19:11 The big question is, is it in Wednesdays best interest to stay up?
NERVY-OWL 02-04-2008, 19:20 if we dont beat scunny i think we will go down, really need to beat them.

and if wendy go down i will be pouring beer down my throat over my head and waking up in wee and sick.
It pains me to say but they will stay up, end of.
Wednesday have had their "lesson" in how no club is too big to go down - a lesson since learned by Leeds and Forest.
I think Leicester are due that lesson so I'll say that I hope Wednesday can stay up and let Leicester suffer some indignation

It looks as though Southhampton are for the drop they've got:
West Brom away on the 28th April
United on the 4th May
Behind the scenes they've also got board room problems with the calling of an EGM of shareholders.
This is of course; provided they lose and Wednesday win or draw more than them.
I'm sure I join in with many Owls and say comon you Blades for the 4th May :hihi:

Allthough I think this could go either way as it's Huckerby's last game for Norwich, when playing well he is top class and may want to finish with a top class performance. This can make all of the difference between the two teams. Although Norwich have the third worst away goal record.

As long as Southampton don't get an unexpected win tonight, Wednesday will be safe with a draw against Norwich because of the goal difference. That 5-0 win against them certainly helped. That said, I remember another Sheffield team recently saying how they only need a draw at home to Wigan!
A draw for Saints tonight won't make any difference, or at least it won't to Wednesday. It'd get Leicester worried though.
Robbie Loving 28-04-2008, 15:55 A draw for Saints tonight won't make any difference, or at least it won't to Wednesday. It'd get Leicester worried though.
IT will, because if Saints draw, you will need to win the final game instead of a draw making do.

Earwiggo 28-04-2008, 22:26 So Southampton got a draw at WBA. That was unexpected. Utd losing at Southampton is unexpected. Norwich winning at Hillsborough is unexpected.
Leicester winning at Stoke is unexpected. Expect the unexpected!
Wednesday are not safe, don't get cocky lads... we HAVE to beat Norwich to expel any fears!
I suspect that what we expect can't necessarily be expected, so it's unexpected that the expected will be unexpected.
Anybody any the wiser?

Unregistered 29-04-2008, 04:52 A draw for Saints tonight won't make any difference, or at least it won't to Wednesday. It'd get Leicester worried though.
They did draw and it has made a difference.

He's not rubbish - Sven is a Sex God to many women.
Some people say that Sven is eying up Wednesday ...
Perhaps still wondering if his fellow compatriot Klas Ingesson is still there, we've all missed him so much.
Not as much as we missed Roland Nilsson. :(
Unregistered 30-04-2008, 15:06 Some people say Elvis lives.....
Of course he does...
...otherwise he couldn't play for Norwich in the Match of Cruciality.
Is Jesus in goal? He should be, Jesus saves you know. ;)
Unregistered 30-04-2008, 15:28 Latest predictions are that even more people will attend the Match of Cruciality at Hillsborough on Sunday afternoon than they did when Sheffield Wednesday outplayed Sheffield United.

why would a high profile manager like sven want to manage a team fighting relegation from second tier football?

We need to make more players very rich.
Unregistered 05-05-2008, 05:04 Both Sheffield teams could go down next season.
Easy for the Owls.
It certainly wasn't, the score was a little bit flattering to say the least.
Was it a penalty? Bullen thought that the crowd influenced the ref.
What would have happened if Grant had not got his right hand on the ball to pull off that crucial save in the first half.
It could easily have been 3 to Norwich who had clearly given up trying half way through the second half.
Unregistered 05-05-2008, 08:13 "I'm not patting myself on the back but if Mourinho had been at Sheffield Wednesday he could not have done any better."
Brian Laws, May 2008. :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi:
Not with the current set of players Laws had available and he must have been talking about the second half.
As its now totally irrelevant i'll close the thread
