At the old building beside Bailey Court Jobcentre and the new flats on West Street there was apparently a dig as they had unearthed something during building work. Anyone know anything about this, if so, what was the outcome and what was found?

What about rining the history department at the Uni - I am sure one of their lectuerers would be called first!

I think the place you are referring to is Morton Works.
That old wall that stands there at the moment surrounded by scaffold is listed! Can you beleive it!

Yeah, that's the place. Yeah, I heard they had listed the wall that stands alone, but the rest of the building was deemed too unsafe so they knocked it down. Anyway, they discovered something behind that wall when they were digging the new foundations for the new building.
