I'm on a gap year before coming to sheff to study medicine next year and am looking for a student house to share with a friend who is a sheff hallam student. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried contacting the university/union. I know Sheffield University is able to provide a list of university approved houses. The best time to start looking for next year is after xmas.

I wouldn't worry to much there is a surplus of student housing in Sheffield

if you look around any of the unis there are always people advertising either on noticeboards or by the university email systems.

Room to let

Location - Walkley, just off South Road.

Rent - £170 per month (with a free month at end of year !)

Facilities - All appliances, furniture etc. Sky TV (with ALL channels !!)

Room - Room in shared house, sharing with 5 others (students) - all friendly and fun !

This really is a lovely room, with everything you could want and in a fantastic location. (quiet road too)
