How about event tickers in signature space?

I don't like huge boxes with pictures and huge paragraphs in them but the facility to use tickers would be nice, especially in parenting and weddings groups. But also for individuals, Salster has a current weight loss report which would be ideal as a ticker, in her sig.
Could be for birthdays, weddings, births, weight loss, anniversary, holiday countdown, house move or any other big event :)

That sounds like a useful facility for specific groups of users!

lots of pub landlords or event organisers of one description or another (including charities) seem to use these boards so presumably they'd find it useful too?

Unfortunately we are not looking to implement the use of HTML or graphics (both of which are required for your suggestion) in signatures at this time.
