If you are on a 2 Mbps then 700 kbps is with BTs acceptable speed for your line...I'm afraid.

The only time I have slower speeds is when there is contention at the BT exchange, I doubt that you would all be having the same contention problems though.

You mean 2MB and not 2GB. :)

700mbps is well within the BT acceptable speeds for your line.

If you have a BT line then you can choose from 100's of ADSL providers I wouldn't touch Tiscali with a bargepole....nor Sky

If the contract is longer than one month I wouldn't be interested in signing up with an ISP.

You have to decide what you want from your connection.

Do you need a large download limit?
A clean connection to the Internet?
What price are you prepared to pay?

Myself I only want a clean connection, no email, web space ect.

I would have a look here (http://www.thinkbroadband.com/)

I ditched AOL last year thinking that things couldn't possibly get any worse. It appears I was wrong...

I'm now with ADSL24, who make AOL look like a cowboy operation... :gag:
