It would be nice to have the ability to change your name as my name is no longer the one I want, it is something that was relevant to me a while back but no longer.

It would also be ideal to change your thread titles, I believe this has been discussed before and I am aware that you can contact the mods who will do this for you but it would save a lot of hassle if you could do this yourself :huh:

Oh and closing, deleting your own threads as well...I think that would be great, there are the odd few (hundred) people who just like to spoil threads and sometimes it just gets out of control...please allow us to get rid of the idiots.

I think this was discussed a while ago - and the point is that a thread isn't really the property of the person who starts it. The forum would be full of closed threads from where an OP had wanted to state their case on the internet but didn't want others to respond

Currently the mods change thread titles to better reflect the thread content, but some forumers are vocally miffed about this - so would they just go back and change the thread title back to what it was with a dig at the mods too?

Being able to change your username every time you logged on would be a terrific facility for forum trolls too

Good points, ok I agree with the whole changing of the thread title, and closing of said thread...some people just don't like opinions unless it's there's.

However, the ability to change your name could be monitored, maybe you could contact the mod's to do so for you and possibly give a reason, your old name maybe displayed below for a short period, and limit it to say once or twice.

Outcome

The forum will, at our discretion, allow a user to change their username/handle. All requests are treated on a case by case basis and should be sent via the Contact Us page.
