Hi Everyone,

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this topic.

As a person who drives a lot and sees lots of good driving and bad driving from all different age people. Should we be made to re-sit our driving test every few years.

I do think this would be an excellent idea every 5 years or so it would make the roads a lot safer and maybe lighten up on congestion as some people would perhaps fail if they took the test now as it is more difficult.

What do you think?

depends whether they're going to open new test centres for it... you seen the size of the queues for driving test's? at one point it was like 4 months! thankfully it's shorter now...

anyways, I think its a fantastic idea, I've been saying this for ages... I spent lots of time learning to drive and taking my test FOUR times before I passed... and theres lots of people who drive like idiots, speeding, never using their mirrors, all because they passed a few years ago... it sucks!

most drivers will tell you, you pick up some sloppy habbits once you start driving properly

Re-sitting theory tests might be an idea.

The number of times I ask my mum (for a joke) what some signs mean and she doesn't know!

Mostly (note mostly) people are safe drivers practically, just need a bit of theory as the rules of the road get updated.
