View Full Version : Police car seen on Charter Row.
Agent Orange 28-03-2008, 12:35 In true forum fashion, I thought it would be in everyone's best interests that I let you all know that I have just seen a police car travelling along Charter Row. Does anyone know why it is there and what is happening?
Anyone else seen an emergency vehicle today? If so, please post your sightings on this here thread along with location and time so we can establish what is happening in that particular area.
Thanks for your cooperation.
AO.

Agent Orange 28-03-2008, 12:40 I saw one last night when I was stood outside rossis resturant, it had the flashy lights on and everything ..
but the key question is, does anyone know what was happening?
natalie H 28-03-2008, 12:40 I can see the police station from here...
andyloxley 28-03-2008, 12:40 I didn't see a police car on Halifax Road, but I'm fairly sure I heard one, or maybe it was an ambulance. I think it's probably a major terrorist attack, or a gangland shooting or something similar. I've searched the Star and can't find any details, has anyone got any wild speculation as that will do just as well!!??!!
Agent Orange 28-03-2008, 12:43 I can see the police station from here...

natalie H 28-03-2008, 12:46 through the bars?

Agent Orange 28-03-2008, 12:51 hahaha yep, i've gone and got myself arrested again
Question is, does anyone know why you were arrested? Come on forum, help me out here :P
puddinburner 28-03-2008, 12:53 WHY? Are you doing a survey or just being nosey, or even one of those wierd people who like to follow cop car's and ambulances....lol
Seriously "blue's & Two's" are used only to warn other road user's to get out of the way, as the officers are on an emergency call.....could be real could be fake.
Either way they have to get there fast, but this is usually the reponse car's job to get to the scene first if no other officers are available.
Ambulance and fire use they're blues and two's in the same way....all tend only to use them when traffic is heavy and they need to warn of they're presence.
All 999 calls have to be met by the same response, just in case there is life at risk...not a fact every time that there actually IS.

Cos I have nothing better to do than to gain this knowledge from my fellow forummers and of course, it is tradition on this here forum to ask the question "do you know what is happening?" each time you see a police car.

Apropos of this .. is the cost of the bandwidth incurred at the time of the posting, or is it just if the thread is kept?
What I mean is, if you deleted this thread, is some charge incurred for it even having been started, or is it only if it's kept on. If it's deleted does the charge go away, I mean ...
