God it was horrible! it made me cringe...
Although i think the american couple had the right idea about not ever having children, it wouldnt be fair.

Fascinating, we thought!

We felt really sorry for the poor scots - being brought to court for it, when no-one's being harmed and there was no risk of them having kids?! Pure nasty! Not to mention the awful newspaper article - though it was clear from the line of questioning that any resultant article would not exactly be favourable!

However, the whole situation with the US bro&sis was very different - to me, it stank of selfishness, and I don't foresee a happy future for them...

I do 'get' the risk involved, in terms of genetics etc, but in this day and age, when families are more split and sibblings less likely to know each other, it's a scenario that is likely to happen more frequently. I really do feel sorry for anyone who might find themselves in this situation.

I fell asleep and missed the end? The OH said that the Scottish couple were banned from intercourse any more (wonder whether that will hold?) and the American guy left his family, but the woman was leaving it another year? I found the American couple slightly strange, but ended up feeling really sorry for the Scottish couple? They seemed made for each other really and found it really hard to be apart, seems very much "in" love. I may have family that I don't know about, I'm sure if I found it were my brother my feelings would change dramatically even if I HAD been having a relationship with him - but then, could I really say I would? If I found my OH were my half-brother (there's no way possible by the way), I'm not sure at this moment in time I'd be able to see him as anything other than my boyfriend?

I know, KTHFB! How on earth do you go about 'switching off' true and genuine love for someone you know reciprocates your feelings?! How do you move on with your life, knowing you're both pining for each other, the way the Scottish couple were?

ps Who exactly is gonne be there policing whether or not they sleep together?! Besides, she's infertile, so it's not like they could have a kid together anyway!
