What is it? every time I drive past I cant see a sign or anything

Is it an extension to the courts?
Its all mostly made out of reinforced concrete

Any ideas?

As far as I know it's another court building - Family Courts & Juvenile Courts

i was down at the courts a few weeks back, in the galleries not the dock. I read a notice relating to the work being carried out on the adjacent building.

It will act as a family courts dealing with issues such as divorce proceedings etc. Its design will take into account that as children will often be involved, the environs will not pose such a daunting propostion to the youngsters.

However, IMO, this is all part of the wider picture and it is necessary to think outside the box on this issue. Basically, the law courts have been dealing with minor issues like this, which take up courtrooms, for a considerable time now. Shifting them into this new building will free up more space for fast track court hearings for the more serious cases. This is only be justified through an untold escalation in serious crimes!!! Maybe this is a taste of what Sheffield ''britain's safest city'' has become.
