Hi all
I need some advise. I always thought that kids loose their milk teeth about 6 or 7. But my little lad (5 in June) has started to complain that a tooth hurts and he is actually showing all the signs that he had when teething...red cheeks, sores around his mouth and chewing on his fingers (he is not a thumb sucker!).
I can only put it down to him possibly having a wobbly tooth soon, but it just seems a bit early.?
My daughter was 5 when she lost her first 2 milk teeth - within about 4 days of each other. The new teeth had also come through behind them so for a while she had double teeth!
I too thought it was a bit early and was a bit thrown by her having all the "symptoms" of teething.
Usually around 5 years. I find that kids who start teething early also lose them early.

Actually the Tooth Fairy wears utility clothing these days. Get yourself a nice unitard instead.

My eldest was 13 months old when he cut his first tooth - we thought he was never going to get teeth!
He was almost 8 when he lost his first tooth, and at almost 10, he has only lost 9 teeth and some of his friends have a full set of adult teeth.
It seems there is no upper or lower limit, it happens when they are ready.
