Hello
Looking for a Baby Hamster for my little one. I have a cage waiting. Been advised not to get one from a pet shop but from a breeder. Anybody breed or know of anyone with Hamsters available?
Thanks

contact
amy_j - i know that she breeds hamsters ans had some babies not so long back. Say that it is the people that she got the hammy cage from that told you about her, she is a very nice, friendly woman, who I am sure has only the best interests of the animals at heart and isn't bothered about profit like many large chain stores

Hello, Thanks for the speedy replies.
Not quite sure which type i am wanting, or infact the sex but it is for a pet for my three year old. So it would be handled by myself and my little one quite regular. I have had a little read into the taking care, and feeding which all looks fine to me. Its just picking the right kind. Would like to get one within the next few weeks really as the little one is excited. So any advice or sellers contact info would be appreciated very much. Thanks again.
i would strongly recommend a syrian for your child as they are bigger and less nippy generally than the smaller ones...tell u what if u wud like a nearly 8 week male might be able to help you if hes turned down by the people considering him now....:)

Fantastic, if you could let me know if they do that would be great.
Thanks
no problems hoping to find out soon :)

ah, thats fine amy_j, its all true anyway! Looks like you have homes lined up for everyone of your babies! It's awful when people decide to breed purely for profit, and then get overruun with poor blood lined hammies, that then end up in rescue centres. There were loads in the chesterfield RSPCA a few weeks ago
yeah i only ask a small fee to cover food etc. i make sure they are all well grown and healthy...plus looking at the colours and any lethal genes that might pop up. only do one litter a time too and if im left with any they stay :)
this guys home fell through but ive got a some people interested
plus i like to know im offering people heathly guys and girls, though the lil guys can get stressed easy like some ive had before did :(
