I'm interested in buying a puppy, labrador pref.
Could anybody please tell me where I could buy one in Sheffield?
Thanks in advance!
Try www.epupz.co.uk - you can search by region.
Got my Doberman off there in October from a breeder in Doncaster.
What about RSPCA or another animal shelter - there's lots of dogs out there who are in need of good homes.
Go to the RSPCA on Spring Street. If youre anything like us, youll want to take them all home.

Like the others have said, why not get a rescue. Puppies come in all the time and you would help to save an animal.
These are some puppies needing a home right now:
8 month lab:

http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=64440&st=0 A 4-5 month girl (not a lab)
Or another 8 month pup: http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=64118
Just in case the links don't work goto www.dogpages.org.uk and read the forums for dogs needing homes.

We got out labrador from somewhere near rotherham, the name escapes me and she is a gorgeous dog.
The breeder was telling us shes this and shes that and her cousins are from the andrex advert and her dads a crufts champion and stud dog e.tc e.tc all this is well and good but when shes got gammy legs and they charge u £400 and dont bother mentioning it to u!
I wouldnt swap our dog for the world though because i love her to pieces. Two things to note with a labrador,
1) she is 4 years old in october and still acts like a puppy, chewing things, being naughty. I think its cos she knows she melts out heart and can get away with it!
2) Lots of naughty labs end up at the labrador rescue centre because owners just arent prepared to put up with their bad behaviour. If u can put up with their naugty things then look here but if you cant a labradors not the dog for you!
Our second dog is a rescue and she has bags more character than the lab, she is impossible to train, whines constantly when you give attention to the other dog and gets mardy when you tell her off, but my brother liked her cos he said she was like a "Proper dog" who licks you and jumps up at you when you come in and sits on your knee! tee hehe
It all depends what sort of character you are looking for in a dog, but think long and hard about it!

I think there's a breeder in Woodhouse - Waterbrook Labradors

Deary Me, after trying a link above to dogpages, I had to type the address in manually, and as usual got it wrong, but this proves rather interesting reading none the less (looks like i'm not the only one who should get out more :D )

my advice would be to get in touch with the kennel club for registered breeders you can also look at kennel club litters online and dont forget to do your homework about the doggy you want also have a look at www.champdogs.co.uk. i would check out the hip score etc on the labradors parents as a breeder myself in the past the parents are eye scored and hip scored

There's an RSPCA place somewhere in S3 - not sure where though, and somewhere near a round-a-bout...

Try Rainbow kennels up past Grenoside, it's where all the strays are taken that the dog warden finds, they really need good homes :(
