Thought it was a gas leak explosion. Strewth. Captain_Scarlet 14-03-2005, 14:10 You kinda put 'Manor' and 'Idiots' in the same sentence, it says it all. kirky 14-03-2005, 15:24 Originally posted by Captain_Scarlet You kinda put 'Manor' and 'Idiots' in the same sentence, it says it all. i live on the manor:o :o :o well the posh part (manor park):D Liose 14-03-2005, 15:32 We don't have it often where I live, but every now and again there seems to be a spurt of it - Yes...total and utter idiots...I would love to know what the parents are thinking and indeed if they know! Some are just oblivious aren't they??? Wonder if they would like the idea of someone setting fireworks off in their back garden at 4am in the morning! Rich 14-03-2005, 15:53 It's not their fault they're just bored... If the Council gave the Manor kids something to do like a Youth club or something to occupy their time, they'd have less time for chav-like behaviour. sanman 14-03-2005, 15:55 Rich I assume that was a sarcastic comment, with all the money thrown at the Manor they could build half a dozen gold plated youth clubs. carcrash 14-03-2005, 15:55 Sometimes drug dealers do this to let people know that the drugs have arrived robbie 14-03-2005, 16:33 Originally posted by Rich It's not their fault they're just bored... If the Council gave the Manor kids something to do like a Youth club or something to occupy their time, they'd have less time for chav-like behaviour. The kids on the Manor have had numerous youth clubs but they just trash them, if you remember they even had Princess Margaret come and open one of them and that was burnt to the ground some months later!!! I cant believe fireworks though its normally time for all the mad off road bikers (STOLEN OF COURSE) you have to be really careful driving up Prince of Wales Road due to careless/dangerous kids on bikes. vidster 14-03-2005, 16:45 I saw the spent cartridge (if you can call it a cartridge) stood up on the pavement this morning Kirky. It was outside one of the corner houses where Manor Lane meets the road with the Windsor pub on it!. The people in those houses must have s*** themselves, judging by the size of the bloody thing. I wondered what it was doing there at this time of year :?. bellis 14-03-2005, 16:48 im sure if they ever did catch the yobs who where setting fireworks off at a early hour they would come up with the classic\line they are bored etc etc maybe the council should do up one of the old factorys and call it the yob zone just think they could do as much graffitti as they like and other yob acts plus moan about how poverty stricken they are ie not having any money for nike trainers:loopy: :loopy: :loopy: Hubert 14-03-2005, 16:51 well i lived on wybourn not manor but thats a load of ****e about giving thema youth club, that just turns into an antisocial hot spot, and then every six months it gets burned down! Theres PLENTY of playing fields and parks etc round that area, but instead of taking a football and a smile to these areas they decide to steal a car instead and make the area unafe for the people who do want to play football or fly a kite or something. The kids are scum, who think its clever to swear and fun to beat people up, and its all down to the parents and their lack of discipline. Makes me laugh when you see these 2 scrubber parents on telly sat in shell suites and baseball caps smoking and him with a can of stella, saying "its aint aww folt he twoks cars, we tride to grownd im but dant work innit" RUBBISH !! And dont tell me its the area either cos it isnt, im from that area and happen to be a very normal human being. I also know several people whi also turned out just fine. but for each of those theres 20 idiots ready to rob the next old lady of her pension. Sorry to be going on about this, I'm just trying to look at the issue from a sympathetic view rather than a detrimental "they're all the same" viewpoint. Hubert 14-03-2005, 16:55 and another thing, when the police do find these kids all they do is give them a "warning" and a verbal one at that the old "if i see you doing that again you'll be in trouble" just doesnt cut it these days since bobbys on the beat isnt so widespread. then to top it all the ones they do keep catching and know to be trouble they excuse it away with, well they live in a deprived area and dont have anything to do. There idea of rehabilitation is to then take them to Alton Towers for the day makes me soooooo annnnngrrrrrrry technophobe 14-03-2005, 17:06 Originally posted by Hubert and another thing, when the police do find these kids all they do is give them a "warning" and a verbal one at that the old "if i see you doing that again you'll be in trouble" just doesnt cut it these days since bobbys on the beat isnt so widespread. then to top it all the ones they do keep catching and know to be trouble they excuse it away with, well they live in a deprived area and dont have anything to do. I believe there are quite a few pending young offenders institutes. As you said though obviously they have to be caught first and the police are busy dealing with violent crime which seems to be on the increase:rant: Hubert 14-03-2005, 17:14 Theres only so much the police can do though, there seems to be a culture of everyone working against the police especially in areas like this, and it is definately something that stems from home. The "whats he done now" approach that these parents seem to take. I lived on this area for many years, and it always used to make me so mad when you would see parent giving the old two finger salute to the police and mouthing off at them for bring their child home after breaking into someones shed or something. "havent you got better things to do" blah blah blah. this is why i couldnt ever be a police officer, you have to have alot of respect for them, id blow a fuse. DAMN RIGHT we have which is why you need to take a more responsible approach to parenting. If i had ever been taken home in a police car id get knocked into middle of next week and can guarantee you i would never do it again. technophobe 14-03-2005, 17:44 I blame the parents and the parents of the parents..... some of the kids just want to be loved!!! they dont get any attention and when they do they are told to **** off and stop bothering. When you look into lifestyles and behaviour what chance do these kids have. :( do they stop in the house listening to their parents arguing (if they are lucky to have a mum and dad) or do they go out with their friends who are stealing cars and setting fire to them. Then its a slippery slope from there. And needless to say they end up in lots of trouble and then dont have an opportunity to get educated and have a better lifestyle.... Social Services dont have the resources either so its a no win situation. Care in the community yeh right!!! garryh69 14-03-2005, 18:05 A policeman once told me that they let the firework off to let people know that the drugs have arrived, usually an airbomb, thats when he knows its okay to go and collect his weed!!!!!! c4rl05 29-12-2005, 11:17 totally agree with the last few posts, i have started havin trouble with a few a***holes recently, even went round to one lads parents house, all she said was stop picking on him how can you prove it. I got him on my cctv doing certain things, little sod. if thats not proof, then i don't know what is. last resort is to send a copy to the police but i know that will escalate things out of all proportion with him gang of chavs. |
