Anyone got any suggestions where to have a small civil wedding ceremony with little do afterwards with decent accomodation cos not much family so Sheffield Cathedral is bit over the top! Don't want church do but also don't want boring register office either.

There's a few places just inside Derbyshire if you don't mind travelling that far. Riber Hall and Eyam Hall are just a couple (don't know how expensive they are tho!!!)
Not that I've been looking :suspect:  :D
Thanks will look into those not thought of that, some family are coming from London so be nice for them to see bit of countryside and get the image of Full Monty out of their heads!

Depends on how small you mean.
I've been to several weddings/receptions at Mosborough Hall Hotel and they've turned out very well.
Quite small most of family is pushing up daisys! So there is me, the future hubby, 4 kids and possibly another 10 for service then depending on budget may have little party after of between 20 - 40 for friends
The pavement outside your house?
Benefits:
- Easy access for cars.
- Can head straight in for the reception in your house.
- VERY inexpensive and can cope with a small capacity very well.
- Walking up the pavement is a good representation of walking up the aisle.
Not a bad idea but the builders van on the front and the lovely dog turds on the back garden will spoil the romantic feel I am going for!
Oh well, nevermind. :(

Other than the Register Office, the list of Licensed Premises in Sheffield can be found here. (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/register-office) (downloadable document at the bottom of the page) There are only 20 listed!
Derbyshire venues can be found here. (http://www.derbyshireuk.net/derbyshire_weddings.html)
Thanks for that I will have a good look tonight and hopefully I will be made a good woman of soon!

Maybe that's why only a small venue is needed...I hear the groom's mother won't be there.
Talking of Camilla I heard she was Talking to Liz about problems with Chaz cos everytime she gave him a B.Job! she got stomach ache so Liz told her to try Andrews!
Sorry about that bit rude but thanks for all you input got some really good advice. Thank all.
