I know of a venue that is willing to give new/up and coming bands a chance to get themselves experience of a live venue and some decent exposure to the general public.

Its a well known city centre place that has a lot of passing trade.

The venue has its own PA, so all you would need is your own backline, mikes etc.....they can even supply drums if needed.

Plus - they will give you free beer :D

All you need to be able to do is a couple of 30 minute sets (preferably a 75/25 mix of covers and your own material, but this isnt cast in stone)

You would be more than welcome to bring a support band, as long as you let us know.

If you may be interested, please PM me your bands myspace address if you have one, or details of the kind of stuff you play etc.

Taking bookings for April / May now

Need bands for the 10th and 17th of april urgently due to unconfirmed bookings (band members on holiday etc)

Sorry, been very busy.

As stated by Redrocker, the venue is West St Live (on west st !)

Also, as for if they get paid, they dont at the moment - apart from free beer :D

However, if we find bands that are good enough to go on the weekend rotation (and hopefully there will be some undiscovered talent out there) they will be paying gigs.

And Redrocker - if you are serious, pick a date.....as long as its a thursday :hihi:
