Of course, I don't think that you're in the relegation dogfight, and I doubt very much that you'll come close to going down.

But still, all I'm saying is a few losses and a few wins from the teams below you and you could be brought back into it.

The play offs for us are still unlikely, but when you have belief it is good. However, the other teams won't be aiming for us like we are the top six, they will be aiming to get as far away as possible from the bottom 3.

Southampton look absolutely dreadful, and if they go, it may even be us who do it on the last day of the season. Which reminds me of when the Kop started chanting "Come on Walsall", after we'd just gone 1-0 down to them at home, when there was possibility of that lot being relegated as a result.

Most of our remaining games are against teams scrapping at either the top or bottom end of the table, which worries me. A lot of people are looking at us saying "they've got 2 games in hand, they'll be alright", but unless we beat Coventry next week and get something at the sty they don't mean much.

Still, while the strength of their oppostion won't matter a fig in the relegation battle, their current free-fall might well send them down. We see that most every year in the top flight; a team that looked utterly safe at New Year, collapses and gets relegated.

A party, four matches aside, well five if you count the mauling at Altrincham in the Cup. I know it was 'only' Division 4, but it was ours, and being 7 years old at Feethams was a truly amazing experience. I didn't care if it was Division 4 or the FA Cup.

It could be any of about 8 teams at the moment, but I think most peoples favourite at the moment would be Leicester, closely followed by Wednesday.

I actually voted for Leicester in the poll some time back. Even though they grabbed a very late point to go above Wednesday today it was still a decent result for us. THey'd have expected to win that one so it's really 2 points dropped.

Wednesday's safety is in our own hands - but we really need to win in one of these "must-win" games for a change. A win on Monday will lift us 4 places, even a draw will lift us 2 - but we've said that a few times lately!

2 wins from the next 2 and a point at Leicester should see us safe - but this is Wednesday!

Plymouth will be a difficult match although Wednesday have alot more to play for so should be trying harder to win. I say 'should' because, well, you know. :roll:
