We have a conifer at the back of our house that we want pruning down a bit. Its quite an easy job if it wasnt for the fact that my other half is scared of heights so wont go up the ladder...!!! Can you recommend anyone that does this sort of thing?

I know how he feels, I can't handle heights either.

It's not really a good time of year to be thinking about pruning back a tree, for fear of disturbing nesting birds. The RSPB recomment that tree pruning is only done between August and mid-March and, with global warming, even mid-March getting a bit late, even as far north as Sheff.

But I do know a couple of people who do that type of work professionally what part of town are you in? ... and is it a conservation area?
