After reading that is seems that bulldozing might be the best thing for it.

I have my suspicions as to what future plans may be, but as they are only guesses based on information gathered and snooping I can't disclose on a public forum just yet.

right..... old ball is a listed building but only the front tap room the extension on the back is not.... i used to do security there and it was managed by morgan and sharon for many years then when they left, mitchell and butler sold it to trust inns which from then on went totally down hill... the manager didnt care bout making money aslong as he wasnt workin himself he was happy... he stopped all the dj's, karaoke, killer pool and eventually over a matter of weeks killed the trade....

now a lot of folk are saying weatherspoons took there custom but if anyone on here goes in weatherspoons they'll realise its a different crowd.... the manger in charge was never capable of running a pub and therefore this is the effect.... i was looking into taking the ball on as tenacy of will but trust wasnt up for it at the time and since speaking to the area manager the other day i can confirm sumone has invested in the ball and will be taking over shortly as soon as the lease is arranged......

i just hope the new investor got a better deal than i was being offered..... wanted £20,000 down and to sign to 3 year and tied to everything accept soft drinks and crisps... rent was £295 pwk..... but it had no plasma's as they had been removed and the bandits, pool tables etc was no longer..... may i also say the currently takings was down to around £2000-£2500 pwk which is shocking as for 1-2 years ago the lease was up at £150,000 as it was making a killing

The rent is £10K per annum but the in goings have not been finally agreed yet...and according to TRUST INNS it is still on the market and applications are welcome!!!

well the guy dealing with it is paul knifeton and thats the figures they wanted from me so maybe they changed the amounts.... but according to the arewa manager its been sorted as from next week.
