whats betting there will be some on here agree with the pay out
Unbelievable. If you're injured breaking the law, it's your own fault. Don't see why anybody should be paying you for the honour.

What a weird thread to drag up from 2005.
british justice, cant beat it can you?.:loopy: :loopy: :loopy:
Without knowing the exact circumstances, it is difficult to pass judgement. However, the boy was nine at the time, surely that calls for a little understanding (if not half a million quid).
Yes he was 9 but he still shouldnt have used his crime as an excuse to extract $$$!! (They shouldnt have accepted the deal)
If he hadnt been BREAKING THE LAW,this wouldnt have happend!!
He wasn't breaking the law, only trespassing. That's not an offence, unless you do it on a railway line.
Also, you're three years late.

I like this bit in the article:
His family took the now defunct company to court four years ago, claiming that it should have repaired security fencing to prevent children from playing on the site.
Mr Murphy is currently living with his grandmother because his mother Diane and her boyfriend, Kevin Parsons, both 36, are serving three years in prison for setting up a heroin and crack cocaine business from their council house.
His parents that were so concerened about preventing children coming to harm, that they set up their heroine and cocaine business to help those kids from being further harmed!
Just noticed the date of the article and thread : March 2005! Dude 111 you must have been bored to dredge up a thead that is over 3 and a half years old!
Yes well DATES dont matter really....
The link to the story IS STILL VALID and it is very bizarre so i figured why not?
No harm in it :)
