Hello, I was just wondering where I could take my car to get the code for my radio? I had to disconnect the battery because it was flat.
The only problem is It's a rover radio in a Ford car. I know last time my partner had to get the code for her radio they did it via her car registration at a peugeot garage, although since my radio is not original I can't see that working. Any ideas? Thanks.
well if you know the registration of the car it came from you should be ok? :) if you don't then umm... kinda dodgy if you dont if you catch my drift? ;)
if all else fails, look on ebay... you can probably pick up something on there for less than a tenner that will decode it for you... I know they have them for Ford's cus my mums radio got knicked and we found that you could buy the clip off fronts and decorders on ebay... lol... which is always nice to know...
thankfully now she has a radio who's removable front costs nearly as much as the entire radio to replace... therefore it's pointless to steal it

It might be a long shot but have a good look on the radio itself (if you can get it out of the car). I've seen a surprising number of codes written on the back!

I guess it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one off ebay , thanks for the help
