Well, at last! The kittens have started to arrive, so far we have 4 and I am sure that there must be more to come as the mum cat is still huge!

We have upto now

1 Ginger
1 Black and White
2 Black with some grey / brown stripes

They are so cute, I will try to add photo's at somepoint although don't want to interupt them yet.

One problem we are having is finding them all over the house, mum cat has moved them around loads upto now. Not sure why!

I haven't got a clue what breed she is! All I know is she is a noisy thing and likes trying to rip the sofa, lol.

They all look adorable. I wish my OH wasn't allergic ... would love a Marmaduke ginger kitten.

At the risk of being a kill joy, I would just like to say that as this is not a rehoming thread (which would have to be closed) anyone wanting a kitten should pm mike84 and not use this thread for that purpose. :)

unfortunatly, I have had some really sad news, we have found the little ginger kitten this morning and he/she had died through the night of unknown cause.

We have then come home today to another poorly kitten who we took to the vet, he/she died while the vet was examining him/her, so we are a bit sad at the moment. The one we took to the vet said he though the kitten had a distened?? digestive system. Basically none of the milk was actually reaching her tummy and had filled up his/her chest cavity. I wasnt really taking it in at the time but I wish that I had listened a bit more now. So we only have the 2 now, I am doubly sad as I was going to try to convince my other half to keep the ginger one.

I have been informed by the person (xxhunnixx) who we got fudge from that her mum was a norwegian forest and dad norwegian forest cross!

I'm really sorry to hear about the kittens, I hope that the others are ok, I'm really sorry for the mother cat too losing her babies :sad:

aww sorry to hear you lost 2...Ashia (my Norwegian forest cat) had 4 kittens in October and 1 died within a couple of days. Sometimes it's just not meant to be. Good luck with the 2 little ones. xK

Stay strong Mike- it is not within our powers to save all of the babies, but it doesn't mean that you and your mummy cat can't look after and love the remaining babies and see them through to adulthood.

thanks for all the kind words, the 2 remaining kittens seem to be doing well and feeding well from mum, touch wood everything will be ok from now.

I hope the other kittens and mummy cat are doing well. im very sad to hear about the other kittens, *hugs*

Just to give you all an update...unfortunately only one kitten left and it will be two weeks old tomorrow. I think it might be male but still not 100%. It's dark brown/black with white feet and belly. Its a cute, tubby thing.
