Unlike, for instance .. United and Wednesday, both of whom sold out almost 40,000 tickets for their semi-final at Wembley, and neither of whom have posted a crowd of 40,000 for a routine league game since God only knows when. When was the last time either was able to fit 40,000 in their stadium? Either way, the crowd at barnsley was poor, mrsteabag 23-03-2008, 14:41 it was fan-bloody-tastic celebrating Sharp's goal in the snow :D when we got to the station after the match i looked like a snowman :hihi: :hihi: Heyesey 23-03-2008, 14:48 When was the last time either was able to fit 40,000 in their stadium? Haven't a clue, but since it's completely irrelevant that hardly matters. The point is, both Sheffield clubs had massively more "fans" wanting tickets for a Wembley semifinal than they've had for routine league games in over thirty years, so only a complete hypocrite would complain about Barnsley being exactly the same. My point is that it's not to the same degree..... United pull in regularly 21,000 of their own fans this season (more last season, and less the season before) Whereas Barnsley pull in about 8,000 of their own. |
