how hard is it to upgrade a harddrive on a laptop? i was given one a few days ago but the harddrive is really small and want to upgrade it to atleast a 120 gig. also how hard is it to upgrade the ram on a acer?

Its quite easy, but you need to find out what type of hard drive it is (SATA or IDE) - the same goes for the ram, again, quite easy, but is it DDR, or DDR2? is it 266/333/400mhz or 553/667mhz etc...

If your un-sure, get someone who knows to take a look.

They both should be under panels (one or two screws) in the back get your (correct) replacement part and swap them. Although obviously swapping your harddrive would mean you'll need to transfer all your data onto the new one....

i know its a ide say so on the sticker thing lol but i think i will have to get someone to have a look at the ram i have no idea what type it is im not to well up on lappys still rather have my pc least i know everything about that :)

Very easy to change, but like others have said, you need to know what type of HD it is.
