Does anyone happen to listen to Film File on Fridays on Sheffield Live? It's actually not to bad with interesting music from the flicks too. Don't normally listen to Sheffield Live, but this was actually a pretty good show.

morning sheffield film fans

I present the film file at sheffield live, listen for yourself on friday afternoon's 1 till 2 and saturday mornings 9-10.

We review all the latest films and give you tips on what to go and see at the showroom, cineworld and the odeon. We also do a weekly competition to win 2 tickets for a film of your choice at the showroom.

Listen again online at http://www.sheffieldlive.org/

if you have seeen anything recently and feel strongly about it send you reviews to info@sheffieldlive.org (for instance I saw the cottage last week and thought it was terrible but chatting to friends think I may be in the minority, really want to hear peoples views)

This weeks competiton question

No, I disagree, the cottage was a great film and it was really good to see Reece Shearsmith with a winning performance (though I would say that as I'm a REALLY BIG League of.. fan)

See the flick! (and listen to Film File as it's pretty damn good)

But then again you always have had a strange, and rather unique, taste in films Simon :)

Not had chance to tune in since you took over from Steve, but will try to remember to listen in.

Is that how Steve descibed me? Witty and informative. I must remember to pay him :)

Be warned I do tend to hijack the show whenever I come on - throws Steve completely off track. But I would love to pop along sometime (I promise to be good).

If we get any freebies sent out by distributors I will give you a nod for competitions.

The amusing thing about Son of Rambow is that the 'Meet The Spartans' crowd were all going past the poster saying that it 'looks wicked'....they will sooooo not enjoy the film!!

If you want to hear Mr Beakerzoid spend 1 hour shamefully bigging up cineworld then the film file is the place for you. Actually he was a very entertaining guest

for all film fans, go to sheffield live and listen to the film file podacasts

And I bizarrely forgot to shamelessly plug my own website on air too - which is bizarre seeing as it is called FilmFile (www.filmfile.co.uk)

Off topic, but are Sheffield Live recruiting volunteer DJs at the moment? I enquired a while back but they never got back to me.
