sorry for your loss! hope you get lots of replies as I also need to replace 6 sections of my greenhouse as they were also damaged by the wind.

It might not be local for you but there's a glass centre at North Anston that might help.

Hardware store in Firth park sells it. It's near the roundabout, not sure of the name.

You know the type of board that 'For Sale' signs are made out of these days?

It's a kind of cell-divided twin plastic board. It wouldn't matter if it was opaque or printed on because that would help shade your delicate seedlings from the suns glare.

That would work - I would check out the odd skip; there's always busted up For sale signs in skips :)

there is round our way anyhoo

Hi, do any of you still need greenhouse glass cos I'm taking mine apart this week and hoping to re-home some of the glass. There are missing panes from the bad weather and my g/f is taking some to patch hers up, but you are welcome to a few pieces if you want :D

http://www.centuryplastics.co.uk

Go to: Products > Polycarb > Palsun UV2

That should be ideal I would've thought. They're based just off the M1 Junction 31 (Near Aston/Swallownest, along the A57)

We've given up on glass for ours - a combination of wind and vandalism. We've essentially wrapped it in plastic sheeting and so far so good. Its cheap at least - the whole job for abour £10, so if it does get torn it won't be a nightmare to replace.
