I had the misfortune of losing the remote last night whilst I was happily surfing away on the net and to my horror, the above programme came on. I tried to find where my remote was, but gave up and ended up leaving the said programme on. Anyway, to cut a long story, I had heard about this programme, but had never really watched it before last night. Well, I didnt watch it intently, merely just observed from afar  and it got me thinking, what the hell is that programme about? I was as much puzzled by the plot as the BBC's inability to spend licence payers money on quality programmes.

Anyone seen this programme and what are your opinions? Am I just not getting what this pile of monkey poo is about?

I really liked this program when it first came out, it was funny, sexy, sassy and always ended positively. However as with all programs the BBC seem to develop these days, it's now become monotone, sad and depressing - with a self defence murder thrown in!

Such a shame.

And as an aside, I've also attempted to watch TV programmes from afar whilst on the computer like you Agent Orange and it really doesn't work! If you wanna get into a program you haven't seen before... it's best to give it your all!

Loved the first series, but disliked this one.

Last night seemed like all the main characters were jumping ship! 2 main characters left in one episode, and the new gofer suddenly becomes manager - what

In a word it's rubbish!
It's a program about the life and times of hotel staff, and the various guests that stay with them, Crossroads anyone?
Just the first opening lenghthy prologue is enough to get me reaching for the remote.

Avoid!

i love it! i'll stand proud!

ok the 1st series was better, but it's still very watchable!

gutted max beesley has left now, but there's still enough characters for it to at least finish the series.

Anna is my hero, i want to be her!

I wasn't sure of this on the first series - but the wife watched it, so by default I ended up watching. Now I enjoy it as a guilty pleasure. Yes, it is cheesy from start to finish, but it is easy viewing and kinda fun once you get into it.

Not exactly sure how anyone could be confused by the 'plot' as every episode is pretty simple to follow story wise - as in there isn't a huge plot going on.

Quite easily, I reckon. It is so unbelievable that you kinda get lose the plot.

I was watching HB when a magician asked someone to pick a card. I chose six of diamonds for fun but was gobsmacked when that was the card chosen in the programme. Made me go all shivery!

I watch it, but this series is definitely the worst, it saw the popularity of the first two series' and have just gone made with this one thinking that they need to keep one step ahead, but are actually going more and more stupid (which I didn't think was possible)!

The Hotel Babylon book is good, but the series has become a bit 'samey' and certainly is not the same without Max Beasley.

Hotel Babylon is monumentally crap, specially due to this (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/content/images/2007/05/15/dexter_fletcher_396x222.jpg) fella. He should be shot with bobbar, pronto.
