whats the best fishing tackle shop in the area ?

the best and cheapest ive seen is on mansfield rd going towardshackenthorpe. bennetts in town is perhaps one of the best but very pricey.

Calcotts on the Wicker is about the best IMO. I wouldn't go to Bennetts unless i had won the lottery!.
I also like Billy Clarke's just off Bramall Lane, very professional and friendly ;)

The best fishing tackle shop is Kerfoot's at Wadsley Bridge. It's been there a long time and I know it was started by Mr Kerfoot senior. It's well established and very, very reasonable. I've been going there myself for years and never found anything to complain about. The owner is well informed on fishing and will help you with any questions.

My friend tried the new fishing tackle shop on Southey Hill and it was absolutely rubbish. He thought it was expensive and they were derogitary about other fishing tackle establishment, which is soooooooo unprofessional. If that's what they have to do to get business then it speaks for itself!!!

Take my advice, try Kerfoot's and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

It depends on what type of fishing you are looking for carp fishing Climax - Wickersley Angling both brill. Match fishing most local shops i visit are ok Fishing Republic for cheapness but not always the best tackle i think fish to your own budget and you wont go far wrong. remember most of the tackle is meant to catch the angler more than the fish at some of the prices these days...lol

i used to be neils tackel box on darnall but now id say is fishing republic on attercliffe. shame about neils his bait would keep for weeks and allways friendly to talk to.
