I imagine most people are now aware that on Saturday the 15th March a group of people did a sponsored walk on behalf of rain rescue. Some of us were members of the forum.

We had a really good time, a nice walk, lots of doggie snogs and cuddles. We all met people we had not seen in person before along with their dogs. I hope i can say for everyone that the walk was a real success mainly down to how well behaved all the dogs were on the day :hihi: well done guys :love:

At the moment it is looking likely that we will have raised near enough £500 for Rain rescue. People are collecting their money in and hopefully in the not to distant future we can give rain rescue some much needed funds to help them to continue providing care, support, transport, advice and equipment.

Would love to - saturdays are out for me though I'm afraid as the kids are at rehearsals all day, and i'm there too, feeding the troups lol. If you ever do one on a sunday, me and the hubby, the pooch and all the little demons would love to join ya!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART - BOTH IN BODY AND IN SPIRIT

I am really amazed at how well it went (not that I didnt think you could do it Adz), and how everyone really got stuck in. As you all know - the money coming in will be used to help the dogs and cats of Sheffield that we know are in desperate need.

Hopefully we will be able to continue doing things to raise more money with some of the offers now. Rain has never been so short of funds as it has been this winter and thats because I don't have any time to do fund raising any more with all the shuffling and sorting of dogs and cats.

I can't tell you how grateful they will be once the funds start to get used.

We are looking to hold a fund raising evening - to gather thoughts and suggestions - so all get your thinking caps on how we can get even stronger.
