well its time for the usual monthly Rawson Spring meet thread to start, and next one is 2nd April. A couple of weeks away, so empty your diaries.

So here it is.

Usual time 8.00pm until everyone goes, we do not move on from this pub so you can turn up at any time during the evening.

Usual place - just to the left when you walk into the pub in the corner where we take it over.

Anyone welcome, its a cheap night out, as drinks are not expensive, and they do food if you are hungry.

The tram stops right outside the pub at Hillsborough tram stop.

So who is coming ? - Newbies are welcome.

I think last time the bar staff were having some fun and games with a group of 4 or 5 people in the main bar, one of whom was WELL out of their tree and they were refusing to serve anyone from that table. It was quite entertaining to stand at the bar and watch the barmaid get more and more annoyed as each person form the table came up in turn to try and buy beer. :)

It is a possibility that I might attend. It is my birthday that week so I shall be celebrating for a good part of it.

I went on a foodie meet last week, but apart from one on here haven't met anyone else so you'll be in good company. Honestly, everyone is really friendly and by the end of the night you'll feel like an old friend - honest!!!

Easiest pub to get to from a tram stop, the pub is bang outside the tram stop.

For anyone new coming the chances are when you walk in we will be on the left hand side, there is a small room, and we will be sat in there.

I was brought up in the suburbs, mexborough to be precise, am sure me and a o have had discussions about it before. I have spent time in barnsley and rotherham too and in all these places it is custom to buy the birthday person a drink lol;)

i managed to get to work an hour late after a call from a concerned colleague that i hadnt turned up.

so far, we've opened the windows to get rid of the stench of alcohol, ive had a bag of crisps, a bottle of pop and a snickers and im think i have a long way to go before i actually start to feel better.

thank you to all for a top night and if anybody can confirm my vague recollection of the ruby lounge that would be great. :(

Well another fab meet, amazing how many turned up, and good of the pub to "reserve" that part of the room, maybe they should name it the "Sheffield Forum" room.

I missed the tram, but the next one to the Cathedral he took me all the way to Hyde Park, which was kind of him as I had consumed a bit of alcohol :gag:

Great to meet new and some old faces, and even older ones who not been to a meet for aaaaaaaaaages.

The attendee list is at home, I am sooo pleased I printed it off, or I would mis-spell everyones names again, lol.

I believe it was another record, and had a figure of 56 circled. Shall post the names once I return home.
