A 2yr old brown male shirehorse was stolen last Thursday night from Watt farm/ Bradfield Brewery, he is a loving family pet and is greatly missed.

He has been castrated and is therefore unbreedable.

There were hoof and foot prints leading through the fields then tyre tracks.

He is a very much loved and missed family pet.

Any info or possible sightings will be most welcome, if you live nearby have you seen anything suspicous / vehicles etc in the past few weeks??

It has been reported to police

Please pm me with any info or contact the police

Thanks for reading

Hi, I saw him on tv yesterday morning and there is a photo on the BBC website.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/default.stm

He is out there on horse forums and I gather Horsewatch and the Stolen Horse Register are aware of him. I hope he comes home soon.

Excellent News

Massey the stolen shirehorse has been found safe and sound and is now happily back with his family.

In short he had been sold on by whoever stole him, thanks to an ad in the yorkshire post the buyer contacted the owners and he is now back none the worse for wear.

Hopefully whoever stole him will get what they deserve once the police catch up with them.

Thanks to everyone for your support

I'm so glad to hear that he's safe and well and back in familiar surroundings.

It made much more sense that he was going to be sold on than someone going to all of the effort of stealing him for any other reason.

Hope the police pull them soon, then we can report on their trial on the forum.
