I went to see about part-exing my GBA SP for one. Cant believe that Gamestation offer the DS for less money the more boxed GBA games you part-ex with your old SP, but if you got one of the limited edition SP bundles (I got the red and silver Mario Vs Donkey Kong one), they dont count the game that comes with the SP as part of the trade in.

Isn't the DS, backwardly compatable with the GBA !?

They are backwards compatable.

They look better IMO as well because the screen is tonnes nicer

The Nintendo DS looks cool but I think I want to hang fire for the PSP dont some of you agree?

Just wonder what the graphics will be like???

I just keep wondering how small these handheld things will get will they go back to the tiny Donkey Kong double screen games - now how excellent were they? proper classic in retro gaming.

I don't have a DS yet ... apparently development isn't far removed for GBA development ... trouble is ... no-one wants fun original games anymore !!

You won't get fun original games ... you'll get licensed crap ... that's all publishers are interested in pushing out ... cos it's what people buy.

Pity the range of games wasnt very good mind. Although I had a fair few good ones.

I feel very sad - I had original gameboy, colour gameboy, lynx, gamegear, gameboy advance, and I'm planning to get a psp possibly - not keen on the look of the ds despite the two screen....looks like an old watch and go - had a couple of them too....


I also looked at a zodiac recently but can say I wasn't tempted by the nokia effort....

I own a NDS & am considering buying a PSP, but im not sure yet.

The bottom line is i want a handheld gaming system that has several, good games.

Ive read good AND bad things about BOTH systems.

Whats your opinion?

i really fancy one of those new nintendos but the sony one looks a lot better i read that microsoft are bringing a hand held out

The DS is meant mainly for games, but it is prootective. The PSP will get scratches from the minor of touches.

Ive got a DS, but i WILL be buying a PSP when it gets realeased & whoever im pleased with in 6 months will get my praise, the other will get my complaints lol

i got a DS for my birthday and one of the pixels had gone within a couple of hours gameplay so its going back to be exchanged. Its my new baby, we will be buying a psp when it comes out too.
i have got sprung, rayman, urbz and project rub for it, also have kingdom hearts for it too - so much brighter than the GBA

My brother's got the PSP from Japan.... it looks good. They're nearly as cheap to buy and ship from there as what they'll be when they're released here.

my housemate isa bit of gamer and he bought the Ds on day it was released and has imported a PsP from japan, both of them are great. i dont really ike the look of the psp as it looks awkward to hold

does anyone know when the psp is due to be released?

I bought my daughter the NDS in April, she loves it, although she has trouble getting it off me, those mario brothers are very addictive!

I bought it for 70 quid, can anyone beat that price?
