Hi all - Does anyone have extensive knowledge of Grommets fitted in their young ones ?
One of the little doubles has to have this procedure tommorrow (day surgery)
Does anyone think it wise to keep her off school the day after to prevent any infections ??? (she's 5):D
Thanks all x
Hi my little boy (13) had gromits fitted about 6 weeks ago. He was off school for a few days as he was a bit under the weather - and more to the point i wanted to 'mummy' him.
Keep plenty of calpol in the house and give it without her even asking for the first couple of days.
good luck and dont worry too much x

Sorry if I sound thick.... but what are gromits?

They are tiny little plastic 'barrels' that they fit in your eardrum to help you drain fluid from behind the drum. Usually a cure for glue ear.

Thanks guy's for all your support and advice.
She is now sleeping well and hearing is already 100% improved (bless) even flushing the loo now seems too loud:P.
She came around from the operation fabulously, with a great big smile but wobbly legs ....Mummy is now off to bed, with Calpol and Nurofen ready for what, maybe a sleepless night. But I don't care. Cos she's a little soldier :hihi:
Once again .
Thanks All xxxxxxx:love:
glad everything is ok - it is so scary when they go for the op x
