It has to be Rossis at the top of London Road, an excellent meal and good wine just not really anywhere to go after without a cab.

The one in Meadowhall is Mama Mamalfi I believe, upstairs in the food court. Haven't been for a while but was really good last time we visited.

Setti Colli (Seven Hills) near Hillsborough Corner is really good and the steaks just melt in your mouth.

Gusto Italiano on High Street is authentic Italian but it's more of a lunchtime place for a slice of pizza and a FAB cup of coffee. Fantastic mushroom calzone and beautiful cakes too!

Isn't Mama Mamalfi one of the ones that has been forced to close after the collapse of this company? (http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/Exclusive-Police-inquiry-after-Yorkshire.6423698.jp)

Just a heads up, we are doing a 20% off voucher for Group Bookings of up to 40 people for Vito's

Probably suitable for parties of 6 or more, but you would still save even with 2 people.

The link is here and is available til the end of today

The one above the Co Op in Hillsborough's brilliant, not stupidly expensive either, and they say the one on the corner of Hawksley Avenue in Hillsborough's quite good as well.

I am loving Zerboni Taste at the moment!

I went back yesterday, asked the pasta al dente, it came to me al dente and was GORGEOUS!

La Gondola next to Crystal in city centre is awesome.
Being Italian myself, that's the most authentic food I have found in Sheffield.
We've had many Valentines and anniversary dinners there as well as our sons christening due.
Love it!

Milano's is so overpriced for what it serves! Rossi's is by far the most delicious Italian in Sheffield, and I'm sure I've practically been to them all!!

Went to La Gondola on Friday, my 2nd visit, and it was great, last time wasn't quite as good. I think it was December 2009 I last went, has it changed hands? All staff were different.

I really like Sette Colli in Hillsborough, though not been in a while.

But I have to say I like Strada in Leopold Square, it's a chain but I have been about 10 times and have never had a bad meal and the service is excellent. The food is lovely, never waiting long either, even when it's full.

I have to agree that, for a chain, Strada is ok. In fact I would say it's the best chain restaurant in Sheffield.

Piccolino's behind the Winter Gardens is also a chain, but I still really like it. Apart from Casanova's in Crookes, which I've always found pretty good over the 11yrs I've lived round the corner from it, no other recommendations -Marco@Milanos is nice, but very overpriced for what it is.
