PLEASE if you possibly can make sure the one you decide to buy is captive bred. An awful lot are imported as wild caught specimens, if an ad doesn't specifically say captive bred then it probably isn't (in the case of adults anyway).

Theres also attercliffe exotics. Ask for tony he has some nice pink Knees and he also had a goliath in recently.

i thought most insects were wild caught such as chile roses. you can however get slings (spiderlings)

An awful lot of invertebrates are wild caught.
Unfortunately the wild caught animals tend to be cheaper than captive bred. :(

However getting a young captive bred animal means you get to see it grow up to an adult which can be very rewarding.

So if someone is shopping on price as a main concern they will probably end up with a wild animal.

Yeah I have always called it that I think its just because its in attercliffe and I have too much stuff going on t correct it in my head :roll:

I've also used Lee at www.thespidershop.co.uk, and whilst the animals were healthy, I got them on one day, but the equipment for them arrived almost 2 weeks later, resulting in two very upset spiders. I wouldn't use Lee again

Id recommend a chile rose for a starter tarantula or a mexican redknee(although these can be very pricey)
Dont think about buying an indian ornamental until you have experience as these are venomous.Also goliath birdeaters are not for beginners as thes are VERY Agressive and kick hairs off the abdomen which isnt very pleasant:thumbsup:

I dont keep spiders as the other half would freak out and stamp on em i did have a scorpion in the spare room till she found it and went nuts funny thing is he was totally handleable and loved to come out. I cant have any nore inverts im not allowed:mad:
