Is going to be in two parts. The filmmaker has said that theres nothing they can cut out or leave out or gloss over so all 608 pages have to be included.

Call me cynical but is this not just a way for Warners to make maximum cash?

Possibly, but they are in it to make cash, so why not?

My thoughts exactly. They (Warners) claim that there is too much going on in the book that they cannot drop anything, yet I found the book to be padded out a lot with Harry camping out, moping, sulking, etc - all which could be montaged or skimmed over like they have done with the tons of stuff dropped out of the films so far.

It is simply a way to maximise profits for the studio before the franchise ends.

Most of the final book was dross and padding

I don't really think it'll make much difference how much they leave out-they certainly didn't care with the other films. To me, film four and five especially just skimmed over everything and didn't fully explain anything, instead concentrating on unimportant things, or things that didn't actually happen in the book. An example of this is the dragon chase round Hogwarts in the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. What on earth was that all about? Talk about a waste of precious minutes!. Anyone who hasn't read the books but has seen the film doesn't know the real story of Harry anyway, so what difference is following the final book to the last word going to make?

There's not enough good material in the final book to make 1 good film, let alone 2. Fail.

Totally agree with this - I managed to watch the first couple of films, but really...no.

Just a bit wrong, in my opinion.

Spoiler if you haven't read the books

Were anyone else disappointed with the fact that one of the main characters didn't die? Or was that just me?

I was and am firmly convinced that Harry should've copped it.

My respect for JK would've increased tenfold.
